This gorgeous 1950s (pin-up style) party dress is for sale now on ebay. Dark violet flowers, pure silk, no holes. Slightly worn/pulled seams on bodice. Fabric overall in good condition. Some yellowing at edges and the general yellowing of natural age is attractive. The rose in the middle at front is faded but the dress still looks fabulous on. Tulle under skirt and lining. Shaped bust, metal bones. One has been altered diagonally across front to stiffen. Label says Reine Seide which means pure silk fabric. Waist 27 1/2 inch or 70cm, bust/under arm 32 1/2 inch or 83cm, shoulder/neck junction to waist 16 inches or 41cm hips 42 inch 107cm (full skirt), length is 39inch or 99cm from shoulder/neck junction to hem. 1930s pretty blue dress. See ebay to purchase. Hand made, good condition. Two pin holes on sleeve and some worn seams but overall very good. The blue fades slightly to violet in various places but it is perhaps less noticeable than in the photographs and the colour looks reasonably rich. Some dark marks on the buttons at back. Rather sweet and a lovely blue. Shoulders 33cm/13inch; neck 43.5cm/17inch; cuff 26cm; sleeve length 32cm; 43cm from neck to the top waist band; 56cm from neck/shoulder junction to bottom waist band; 73cm width top waist line; 76cm wide bottom waist band; 90cm hip; 101 around bottom; 114cm from shoulder/neck junction to hem line.

It's a long, hot summer bleaching clothes and scorching skin. Leathery and soft worn boots are required for walks in spiky dry golden grass - Kangaroo grass, Spear grass, Windmill, Fairy and Wallaby grasses crackle and ripple in the smouldering sun. He plays cricket on Saturdays in vintage creams and you wear 1950s floral with novelty scarves. You grow aromatic tomatoes and bake cakes for long weekend picnics. On the hottest days you go to the dam in vintage stripy swimmers.
